Forza 6 Petit Le Mans just a few weeks away!

Just a heads-up, everyone. Choose a GT or LMP car, tune it to class R or P respectively, and plop on a cool livery!
Here are a few small changes to the original rules:

1. Since there aren’t many LMP cars made in 2010 or later, I’m allowing any from 2000+. GT cars still have the same 2010 restriction, though.

2. Just to clarify, Super Trofeo Lamborghinis are not GT cars. They’re a lot faster and therefore not allowed. Sorry, anyone who wanted to use one!

3. Due to the unrealistic tire walls across the track in a bunch of runoff areas, we will restart the race if more than one person crashes into them on the first lap, causing their car serious damage. Of course, this is only if you crash because of the crowded track; if you’re just not paying attention, you can deal with it.

Also, the race has been shortened to just two and a half hours. The polls show an even split between 2 and 3, with a good amount in favor of 2.5 as well.

This will certainly be a fun car to run. Until my internet implodes...

That said, maybe I’ll have better luck with the Xbone because so far I haven’t had any issues with it.

I recall there being a rule where we can modify road cars as GT cars if we don’t have the time to actually acquire a GT or LMP car.

Yup! I wouldn’t worry too much about getting a GT car, though. Prize spins add up insanely quickly.

But yeah, if you do go the route of upgrading a road car, try to match the stats as closely as possible to the GT version of the same car, and then upgrade it further if your PI still allows you to.

Same here. I think Microsoft’s servers are more strongly dedicated to the Xbone, which could explain why the 360 seems to have gone downhill connection-wise.

Just FYI it might not be a good idea to include the Super Trofeo cars because they have an extremely high top speed compared to the other GT cars (200+ vs. about 185).

Might want to test them out a bit more before being 100% on disallowing them, the top speed was based off Cherry Man building his car so it might be different if we use stock upgrades and stuff. Speaking of which what is the PI limit? We were thinking for our season-long GT series to keep it under 850.

Just make them run with lower upgrades rather than completely banning them unless it is the only solution.

Uh, two things: the first is that the GT cars have a base PI of ~815 stock so an 800 limit is kind of impossible. Secondly, have you done any testing for the non-GT cars? Last couple Le Mans race we did we had to disallow non-racecars because they were just too fast on the straights, wondering if Road Atlanta is the same.

Yeah, I forgot to change the PI limits to go with Forza 6’s new system.

As for non-GT cars, I might give them stricter limits to make them work. I just want everyone to have a chance, and even though most of us have several million credits already, there could be someone who doesn’t. I’ll get this all figured out by the weekend so people will have time to practice.
